About Merle Keller
For most of my professional life, I have been a storyboard artist for advertising agencies, work that involves conveying a story through pictures. Seven years ago, I began to explore my own creative vision and chose oil painting as my medium. My primary interest as an artist is in the visual expression of common, everyday scenarios in which characters act out a story. The subject matter reflects my own life experience and is thus very personal and sometimes autobiographical. RESUME: EDUCATION: University of California Los Angeles - Bachelor of Arts in Art History Academy of Fine Arts, Venice, Italy - Figure Drawing Postgraduate Studies: California State University Northridge – Printmaking, woodcutting...

I have the original of this painting. I inherited it from my late husband a few years ago. Can you give me some background on this piece? I really love it.

call me sentemental or a born-romantic.....but i sometimes miss those yellow cabs (being a nyc brat)...that a side, you are a home with all of the urban-scapes you have posted here....each is a telling story of the time we occupy in these populated, asphalt forests. the immediateness of the works heightens the emotions and the expressions of the subjects gives us hope...very wonderful work. tdp
